Description

The Monkey King (also known as Sun Wukong, Sun Xingzhe, and Dou Conquer Buddha) is one of the main characters in the Chinese classical god and demon novel “Journey to the West” (it is said to be written by Wu Chengen). Conceived by the fairy stone that created the world, it was born on Huaguo Mountain in Dongsheng Shenzhou. It was honored as the “Monkey King” because it led a group of monkeys into the Water Curtain Cave. In order to learn art, he traveled across the sea to learn from the ancestor of Subhuti, named Sun Wukong, and learned superb spells such as Dapin Tianxian Jue, Earth Shaju, Seventy-two Changes, Somersaulting Clouds, etc.
Sun Wukong, who left the army, got the Ruyi golden cudgel from the Dragon Palace in the East China Sea without any weapons. Afterwards, he made a big fuss in the underworld and removed the book of life and death. He alarmed the heavens and was recruited by the Jade Emperor, who named him Bi Mawen. After learning that his position was low, he returned to Huaguo Mountain angrily, and defeated Li Tianwang and Nezha’s crusade, forcing the Jade Emperor to make him the Monkey King, and built a mansion in Tiangong to manage Pantao Garden. Because of disrupting the queen mother’s pan peach event and stealing the golden elixir of the Supreme Lord, he was refined into a body of gold and steel. Later, his eyes were smoked into golden eyes in the Eight Diagrams furnace of the Supreme Lord. Afterwards, there was a big disturbance in the Heavenly Palace, and the 100,000 heavenly soldiers, the four heavenly kings, and the twenty-eight constellations could not defeat it. Later, he lost the bet with the Tathagata Buddha and was crushed by the Tathagata. For more than five hundred years, I have repented and rehabilitated. After being enlightened by Avalokitesvara, he was rescued by Tang Monk. He protected Tang Monk from the west to learn scriptures under the name of Dharma Walker. Buddha. The Monkey King is intelligent, lively, loyal, and hates evil by nature, which represents wit and bravery in folk culture. Legends of Journey to the West appeared in the Tang Dynasty and continued to the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and Journey to the West appeared in the Ming Dynasty, a comprehensive compilation of these legends. In these folk myths of all ages, the Monkey King is regarded as a god by the Chinese.
